War on Gaza – Joe Sacco

War on Gaza – Joe Sacco – (32 pages, English, softcover, published by Fantagraphics)

War on Gaza

Comic journalist Joe Sacco previously reported on Palestine in his graphic novels ‘Palestine’ (1993) and ‘Footnotes on Gaza’ (2010). After the events of October 7, 2024, he was initially ‘paralyzed’ as a comic artist. However, he eventually incorporated his commentary on the Gaza war into various episodes on the website ‘The Comics Journal’. These have now been collected in ‘War on Gaza’.

Joe Sacco

Comic journalist Joe Sacco is known for his unique style of reporting from various conflict zones, such as the war in Bosnia and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In his work, he focuses on the conflict through the eyes of the civilian population, and the contrast between media, politics, and the harsh reality.
