A bloodthirsty cult of gladiators fights in the Arena for the entertainment of the public. She is disgusted by it and is prepared to burn everything to the ground... until she sees a face among the gladiators she thought she had lost forever. What is he doing here?

In the second part of Anu Veniya: Within His Gaze, we follow God’s daughter in her search for meaning after her father has died. Once again, it is a quest on an epic scale, where the boundary between death and life is sometimes difficult to distinguish. We follow the story largely through the protagonist's internal dialogue.

Comic artist Hasker Brouwer sometimes struggles to restrain his expressive, high-contrast style, resulting in many full-page drawings. This often lends the story a sense of stillness, as if time seems to slow down. Something that further increases the epic scale of the story.
